Open the door but lock it tight,
Do this before the dead of night.
Like a stealthy black cat ready to pounce,
Willing to swindle every last ounce.
One of your greatest fears,
Shhh! I think they are here.
On a calm summers day...
PERSON: A single balloon floating in the sky,
Like a bright smiley-face trying to fly.
Lonesome, desolate, and forlorn,
Behind that joyous exspression, I can see you're torn.
Just there without a purpose, without a goal,
Your short life meaningless, like an empty hole.
I'm sorry. BALLOON: A single person standing on the ground,
Staring at me without making a sound.
They must be in awe seeing me so free!
I bet they're wishing they were this filled with glee.
Soaring, drifting, hovering, and gliding,
Is there a reason not to be smiling?
The person stood alone on the pavement,
Bounded by gravitys enslavement.
I'm sorry.
A Miniature Sun
A glowing crystal ball,
The flat side of a yellow crayon,
A bright idea,
The bottom of a rubber duck,
A cat's eye in the dark night,
A filled-in halo,
The flame of a candle,
The bright flash of a camera,
A golden neclace being reflected by the sun,
A lemon,
The yolk of an egg,
A firefly,
A lightbulb, March 30th, 7:43 pm, at home.
Who Are You?
I am the vocal chord...
Making a sound, but suffering from paralysis.
Afraid of speaking,
But fears living in silence.
I am indesicive...
But I know exactly what I want.
I think?
I know.
I am simple...
Not taking things for granted.
Only wanting the answer to one question,
Why?
The Perfect Happy Couple
She'd be back from her trip to Europe in a week,
While boarding the plane he kissed her cheek,
She looked back at him and waved goodbye,
Now she was ready to fly.
Without him she felt filled with sorrow,
Hoping she'd be better tomorrow,
Staring at the distant ground below her,
Wishing for this heart ache there would be a cure.
At home in her quaint little house,
Was another woman wearing her blouse,
At her house occurred a scandal,
Much more than she'd be able to handle.
He figured he had it all planned out,
This was something he knew all about,
Cheating is what he has always done,
In fact, there isn't a game he's ever fairly won.
Soaring through the sky feeling drowsy,
With a sick heart and stomach everything was lousy,
Soon she would be safe on land,
But now just wishing she could hold his hand.
She couldn't get to sleep,
So all she did was weep,
What she wanted to do was dream,
And all of a sudden she heard a terrified scream.
His life was perfect so far,
Two lovely ladies and a brand-new car,
Nothing was going wrong,
His life was like a country song.
The other woman was getting quite bored,
So she decided to cut the chord,
She bought a plane ticket to Japan, only 3 weeks away,
And everything was a-okay.
Panic spread across people's faces,
The plane was going down of all places,
The lights started to flicker and flash,
While the plane spiraled to a crash.
She wasn't worried about death or life,
Just the man to whom she was a wife,
She loved him with all of her heart,
And now this tragedy would tear them apart.
The sun shone brightly through the windows of his happy home,
Shining on an object which belonged to her, a comb,
Then at random he turned on the TV,
"A plane heading to Europe crashed at sea".
His wife was dead, she was gone. Oh well, he thought, goodbye, so long.
3 WEEKS LATER
The other woman would be back from her trip to Japan in a week,
While boarding the plane he kissed her cheek,
She looked back and waved goodbye,
Now she was ready to fly.
Clownfish
Orange and white, Tiny and light,
Smiley and silly, Scally and gilly,
Snug in my anemone, In my reef i hide and seek,
Striped like a zebra, I won't be found in a creek .
